OUR VALUES
Our sense of compassion is displayed every day while helping people and animals in need. We strongly believe every animal has a right to live. We offer a second chance to every single animal that enters the shelter.
We were the first to introduce a targeted sterilization clinic, offering people in need the possibility of having their animal sterilized at a more affordable cost.
We also get involved in our community by offering students the possibility of doing their internship at the shelter, for two days a week throughout the school year. These interns come from various high school programs, with the aim to help reduce the dropout rate, by integrating students to the workplace.
Finally, we also provide the people in need with food and accessories for their pets.
We work with a number of established organizations who share our field of expertise. We offer additional shelter space, when available, to others who may be over-populated. Be it a quantity issue or some behavioural or medical issues, we will gladly take on more animals at the shelter.
We also share our knowledge and experience with colleagues and partners. We are proud of this distinction.
Since we are open to process improvements and best practices, sharing becomes a key to achieving the highest possible standards.
We are fully engaged and proud members of the AQSS (Quebec Association of SPA’s and SPCA’s), not only to share those best practices, but also to create one unified voice for animals in Quebec.
