·         97 sled dogs living in the woods

·         Approximately 30 pregnant females

·         9 puppies born a few days before the rescue

·         Several blind or visually impaired dogs

·         Dogs released to the care of the SPCA Laurentides-Labelle

·         2 international partners helping with expertise, logistics and specialized volunteers: Humane Society International et United Animal Nations

·         Cooperation of municipal services, local businesses, fire department and members of the community to help put together the emergency rescue in Val-Morin (building generously offered for the duration of the operation by Construction Excavation Raynald Tisseur inc.)

·         Help from approximately 50 volunteers to prepare and implement the rescue

·         2 days of work to prepare the location (disinfect and install cages, clean up and prepare each room, etc.)

·         75-foot trailer to move the dogs from the rescue site to the emergency shelter in Val-Morin

·         More than 200 pounds of food per day for the dogs

·         5 vets and 2 animal health technicians to provide vet care for the dogs in Val-Morin

·         Each dog will receive basic vet care and 3 vaccines: basic series, rage and bordatella

·         Help from numerous animal rescue organizations in Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia to help find a home for the dogs

·         47 dogs already placed in these rescue organizations

·         if they haven't found a place in Canada before the end of the week, the rest of the dogs will go to shelters in the United States

·         Each dog will be treated, sterilized and put up for adoption in a loving permanent home
